Melody Yazdi

Melody graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Quantitative Biology and an M.S. in Quantitative and Computational Biology, where she developed an interest in leveraging computational approaches to better understand biological systems. Her previous work included an honors thesis focused on analyzing single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data to investigate signaling pathways involved in lizard tail regeneration. She is excited to join the Greicius Lab as an incoming Clinical Research Coordinator, where she hopes to continue honing her computational skills while gaining experience in clinical and translational research as she works toward her long-term goal of attending medical school. Outside of research, Melody is an avid singer, enjoys community volunteering, and is always looking to explore new matcha and food spots in the area.
