Andrés Peña-Tauber

Andrés began as a summer intern at the Greicius lab in 2022. After graduating from Amherst College with a B.A. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology, he returned to the lab as Clinical Research Coordinator to continue expanding on his interest in genetics, computational biology, and medicine. Outside of medical research, he has volunteered as an EMT, has been involved with Lunas Global Health Network and other advocacy groups, and most recently conducted anthropological research in his home country of Ecuador on indigenous medical practices during COVID-19. Andrés is considering careers in both academic research and medicine.
