Ilaria Stewart
Ilaria graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in 2022 with a B.A. in Neurobiology and a minor in Political Economy. She completed a thesis at UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, where she studied the role of Cadherin proteins in wiring the visual system in Dr. Xin Duan’s lab. She also researched at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where she investigated the implications of school-associated violent death under Dr. Howard Jen’s supervision. Ilaria joined the Greicius lab to further explore her passion for neuroscience and learn more about neurodegenerative diseases. After two accomplished years as Clinical Research Coordinator, Ilaria left the lab to begin medical school at UCSF.
